Another big week of esports kicks off on February 17, 2025, with Counter-Strike 2 taking the spotlight.

PGL Cluj-Napoca will continue this week with the remaining fixtures of the Swiss Stage taking place before the playoffs kick off on Friday.

The Dota 2 DreamHack DreamLeague started last Sunday and will continue throughout the week, with Group Stage 1 running through Wednesday, February 19.

Meanwhile, the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Masters Bangkok will start on Thursday, February 20 and playoff fixtures from the top League of Legends regional leagues will continue during the week.


  • PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025

    Following three days of play over the weekend, PGL Cluj-Napoca will continue during the week with two more days of play for the Swiss Stage.

    Eight teams will qualify for the playoffs, which will begin on Friday, February 21, and they will compete in a double-elimination bracket.

  • DreamHack DreamLeague Season 25

    Season 25 of the DreamHack DreamLeague kicked off on February 16, with 16 of the best Dota 2 teams competing in the two-week event in Europe.

    Group Stage 1 will run until Wednesday before Group Stage 2 kicks off on Friday, with the top eight teams from the opening stage set to compete for four playoff spots.

    Winners of the last three seasons of DreamHack DreamLeague, Team Falcons, are rated as $5.00 favourites with GG Bet to take out the Season 25 title, ahead of Tundra Esports ($5.50) and PARIVISION ($6.00).

  • VCT Masters Bangkok

    The first international VALORANT event of the 2025 season will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from February 20-March 2, with the top eight squads competing in the US$500,000 tournament.

    With two representatives from each of the four regional leagues taking their place at the event, competition is expected to be compelling as teams will face each other from different regions for the first time.

    Esports betting sites have marked G2 Esports as a narrow $3.25 favourite to lift the VCT Masters Bangkok trophy, closely followed by fellow VCT EMEA League representative, Team Vitality ($3.50).

  • League of Legends Playoffs

    The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Cup playoffs will continue throughout the week, with the final four series taking place on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

    Likewise, the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) Winter Split playoffs will run across the next two weeks, with the top eight teams clashing in a double-elimination bracket.

    The inaugural League of Legends Championship of The Americas (LTA) Cross-Conference tournament will conclude on Sunday, with the winner of the event qualifying for First Stand 2025.

    The final region to begin their playoffs will be the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) in China, with the double-elimination bracket scheduled to take place across the next two weeks.
