BetBoom Team ousted SAW in a 2-0 series (13-9 on Vertigo, 13-9 on Ancient) in the 2-2 pool, denying the Portuguese squad their Major dreams.

Despite their win, BetBoom’s journey wasn’t over, as their Buchholz score required them to fight for the seventh and final RMR spot at the Counter-Strike 2 Major later in the day.
SAW’s campaign was rocky, starting with a loss to SINNERS Esports before rebounding against UNiTY esports and Team Falcons.
However, back-to-back defeats to Natus Vincere and BetBoom ended their hopes.
Despite an earlier ESL Challenger Katowice triumph with newcomer André “?Ag1l?” Gil, SAW’s lack of defensive cohesion and tactical depth proved costly, particularly on Vertigo, where they failed to secure a single counter-terrorist round.
BetBoom showcased exceptional composure, with Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov leading the charge on Vertigo to secure a 10-round streak comeback, and Aleksandr “?KaiR0N-?” Anashkin and zorte dominating on Ancient to seal the victory.
Fnatic narrowly qualified for the Major with a nail-biting 2-1 win over Dynamo Eclot (13-4 Ancient, 11-13 Inferno, 19-17 Nuke).
Benjamin “blameF” Bremer delivered a heroic performance, tallying 103.3 ADR, 12 opening duels without loss, and a 1.59 rating on Nuke.

The series was a rollercoaster.
Fnatic dominated on Ancient but stumbled on Inferno due to repeated defensive lapses.
Nuke, the decider, saw Eclot come within inches of victory, but Fnatic clawed back from a 12-15 deficit, surviving double overtime to secure their Major berth.
“From chokers to qualifiers,” said a relieved Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro, emphasising the mental toll and resilience it took to overcome the challenges.
GamerLegion claimed the final Shanghai Major spot after a 2-1 (12-16 on Ancient, 13-5 on Nuke and 13-9 on Mirage) victory over BetBoom in the seventh-place decider.
The young squad’s run, starting with a 0-2 record, culminated in a remarkable comeback with wins over UNiTY, Falcons, SINNERS, and finally BetBoom.

BetBoom took Ancient after GamerLegion squandered an 11-5 lead.
However, GamerLegion bounced back with a dominant Nuke showing and edged out BetBoom in a tense Mirage decider, thanks to Timur “FL4MUS” Marev’s aggression and key late-round plays.
For GamerLegion, this marked a milestone as four rookies—FL4MUS, Henrich “sl3nd” Hevesi, Sebastian “Tauson” Tauson, and Erik “ztr” Gustafsson—earned their first Major appearances.
“This is my life,” said an emotional ztr, reflecting on the team’s resilience and energy.
BetBoom’s loss was heartbreaking, particularly for nafany, who fell just short of Major qualification yet again, continuing a streak of near-misses from past campaigns.
The Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe B RMR kicks off on Thursday, November 21, with each of the 16 teams playing their first two best-of-one matches.

NaVi earned a direct spot in the elimination stage with a commanding 2-0 victory over SAW, finishing the qualifier with a solid 3-1 record.
Despite a subpar bootcamp, described by Justinas “?jL?” Lekavicius as “one of the worst,” NaVi overcame their struggles with clinical performances.
Their win over SAW highlighted NaVi’s strength, taking Nuke (13-10) and Ancient (13-2) with confidence.
While their only loss came against MOUZ, NaVi’s overall performance underscored their readiness for the Major.
Reflecting on the team’s preparation, jL noted that despite inefficiencies at the bootcamp, they now have a clear focus to improve before the main event.

FaZe secured the last elimination stage spot after defeating Cloud9 in the fourth-place decider.
With a 3-1 record, they consistently showcased dominance, particularly in a 2-0 win over fnatic and a decisive series against Cloud9.
H?vard “?rain?” Nygaard emerged as the standout performer for FaZe, delivering a remarkable 1.28 rating over nine maps.
His exceptional play on Mirage and Inferno against Cloud9 (ratings of 1.63 and 1.65) proved pivotal.
Rain credited his improved performance to increased focus and work ethic, which FaZe plans to continue honing during a European bootcamp ahead of the Major.
Although Cloud9 didn’t earn automatic qualification to the elimination stage, they secured their spot in the opening stage of the Shanghai Major.
After entering the Europe A RMR as the second-lowest ranked team (no.66 in the world), Kirill “?Boombl4?” Mikhailov and co. only lost to FaZe throughout the event and dominated their other opponents, SINNERS Esports, Nemiga Gaming and Sangal Esports.

GamerLegion kept their hopes alive with a hard-fought win over Team Falcons, securing a place in the 2-2 pool and the opportunity to qualify for the opening stage.
Led by Timur “?FL4MUS?” Marev, GamerLegion shined on the series-deciding Mirage, where key plays by FL4MUS and Sebastian “?volt?” Malo? ensured victory.
For Falcons, Oleksandr “?s1mple?” Kostyliev’s efforts fell short, leaving his future with the team uncertain as their struggles continue.
With roster changes likely on the horizon, Falcons face a challenging rebuild.
NaVi and FaZe’s direct qualification to the elimination stage positions them as strong contenders for the Major, while Cloud9 and other lower-seeded teams will battle through the opening stage.
Both NaVi and FaZe aim to build on their momentum, with NaVi focusing on refining their strategies and FaZe leaning on rain’s stellar form and their upcoming bootcamp.
The Perfect World Shanghai Major is shaping up to be a thrilling showcase of skill and resilience, with Europe’s top teams setting the stage for high-stakes competition.
After a demoralising 4-13 loss on their Mirage pick, MOUZ rebounded with dominant performances on Dust2 (13-8) and Inferno (13-7).
This victory marks MOUZ as the first Counter-Strike 2 team to lock in a top-16 berth in Shanghai and the 11th to qualify overall.

The series began poorly for MOUZ on Mirage, where NaVi’s Mihai “?iM?” Ivan and Justinas “?jL?” Lekavicius dominated the map, leaving MOUZ reeling.
NaVi extended their lead with a pistol-round win on Dust2, but MOUZ rallied with strong counter-terrorist side tactics and clutches from Jimi “?Jimpphat?” Salo.
Dust2 concluded 13-8 in MOUZ’s favour.
The decider on Inferno showcased Jimpphat’s brilliance with another key 1v2 clutch and a heroic quad-kill defence to close the match.
Kamil “?siuhy?” Szkaradek’s leadership and strategic mid-round calls were pivotal in MOUZ’s victory.
In a post-match interview, Dorian “?xertioN?” Berman described the win as “semi-revenge” against NaVi, recalling their previous 1-3 loss in the IEM Rio final.

Team Vitality joined MOUZ in the elimination stage after a convincing 2-0 victory over FaZe Clan.
Led by Dan “?apEX?” Madesclaire, the team continued their flawless run in the European RMR.
Mathieu “?ZywOo?” Herbaut delivered standout performances, supported by Shahar “?flameZ?” Shushan, whose 1v2 clutch on Dust2 sealed Vitality’s victory.
FaZe struggled to find cohesion, faltering on their Mirage pick and falling short despite moments of brilliance from captain Finn “?karrigan?” Andersen.
On Dust2, FaZe showed improvement but failed to capitalise on key opportunities, ultimately succumbing 13-11.
Cloud9, SAW, fnatic, and SINNERS Esports need just one more win to qualify.
Falcons, Sangal, BetBoom Team, and Dynamo Eclot face elimination after disappointing performances in their 1-1 matches.
SAW redeemed themselves with a dominant 13-5 win over Falcons, while fnatic scraped past BetBoom on Nuke with clutch plays from Benjamin “?blameF?” Bremer.
SINNERS easily dispatched Eclot, powered by Josef “?MoriiSko?” Maurenc’s standout showing.

Notorious slow starters, FaZe Clan, have started strongly at the Europe A RMR by defeating Cloud9 13-8 in their opening fixture before grinding out a 16-12 victory over Team Falcons in overtime.
H?vard “rain” Nygaard has arrived in fine form in Shanghai, topping the server in both clashes for FaZe, with his dominant performance on Nuke being one of the major factors as to why his squad are in the 2-0 pool heading into day two.
NaVi will face MOUZ, and FaZe will clash with Vitality on Tuesday, with the winners of each best-of-three series securing their place in the Shanghai Major.
At the other end of the spectrum, GamerLegion, UNiTY esports, Rebels Gaming and Nemiga Gaming lost both of their opening matches and will face elimination on day two.
Meanwhile, Falcons, Cloud9, Sangal Esports, Dynamo Eclot, SAW, Fnatic, SINNERS Esports and BetBoom Team will compete in the final best-of-one matches on Tuesday, with each squad seeking to win their way into the 2-1 pool.

Team Vitality will regain William “mezii” Merriman for the Europe RMR, and for the Major if they are to qualify, which will bring a completely different Vitality compared to the squad that finished in third-fourth place at the BLAST World Final. GamerLegion are still working things out after adding Sebastian “Tauson” Tauson Lindelof to the roster two months ago, so Vitality should have no issues in this matchup.

FaZe Clan have not lifted a trophy since April at IEM Chengdu, and there is plenty of talk about a potential roster change in the coming months. Somehow, Cloud9 are ranked as the world’s 66th best team heading into the Europe A RMR; however, if Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov can rally his squad, there is no reason they can’t make the main event and do some damage on the way.

MOUZ are rated as an unbackable $1.16 chance with Counter-Strike betting sites to qualify for the Shanghai Major. While some will say Nemiga Gaming’s form is better than their odds suggest, they have been competing in second-tier events against much weaker teams. The 4.5-round line is very generous in favour of MOUZ.
