Bren Esports enter this match off a fairly solid performance against Invictus Gaming (1-2) on Wednesday, when they took the series lead on Train (16-8), but fell apart and lost on Dust II (9-16) and Inferno (8-16). CHECKMATE, on the other hand, were far less convincing in their fixture and suffered a devastating 0-2 loss against TYLOO.
These teams last met just over three weeks ago, when Bren Esports secured a narrow 2-1 victory with a 19-16 overtime win on Overpass. CHECKMATE have since won against Let’s Quit, w2c and lost against TYLOO. Bren Esports only game besides their loss against IG was a convincing win against Huat Zai.
Bren seem like the most likely victors here, but we don’t believe the latest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive betting odds are fair. Bren have not improved one bit since their last clash with CHECKMATE and considering all but one of their four head-to-head meetings in 2020 ended in three-map series, it’s fair to expect another tight affair on Friday.

TYLOO are not nearly as strong as they were with Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand, but they are still one of the strongest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams from their region.
Last weekend TYLOO attended the Hot Pot Masters Championship, where they lost only two series, one of which was a 1-2 defeat against Invictus Gaming in the grand final, which marked IG’s second head-to-head victory (2-3) since October.
Historically, TYLOO do well against IG, but the recent trend indicates the gap between these two rivals is not as big as it used to be. IG have already beaten TYLOO only three days ago and also enter this match in great form (7-1), so it’s fair to expect IG to put up a fight and make TYLOO work hard for the win. The real dreamers might also want to bet on IG to win at $2.89.
The second stage of CS:GO Funspark Rivals Pre-Season will kick off with a clash between Bren Esports and Invictus Gaming who will duke it out in a best-of-three (Bo3) series.
These teams last met in November during the Asian Legend Challenge League, when IG secured a convincing 2-0 sweep.
IG enter this match with a 7-1 record, which includes two 2-1 wins against TYLOO and Triumphant Song Gaming on Sunday.
Bren were just as successful in their competitive endeavours and although they have only four games on record since the start of December, it’s hard to be overly critical of their 3-1 run.
IG are priced as the favourites, which is likely because they were far more active across December, but that hardly means much considering Bren is in good form. Bren to win at least one map at $1.73 is a great bet with several of our top esports betting sites offering handicap betting.
VICTORY FIVE vs JD GAMING LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

LoL Betting Odds: | V5 $2.48 at GG Bet | JDG $1.49 at GG Bet |

?JD Gaming enter the 2021 season with a couple of big additions to their roster, namely ADC Jin “Mystic” Seong-jun and ex-Suning coach Shih “Chashao” Yi-Hao. With a new strategist, JDG might improve on their shaky drafts and team synergy, but until we see them in action it’s hard to say how high can they fly.
Victory Five enter this match already warmed up and in great form, having won all of their group stage fixtures. JDG, on the other side, have yet to play a single match since the 2020 LoL World Championship, so they’re likely a bit ring rusty and vulnerable enough for V5 to cause some serious damage.
TEAM WE vs LGD GAMING LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

LoL Betting Odds: | WE $1.06 at GG Bet | LGD $7.42 at GG Bet |

?Team WE did not make any huge additions to the team during the off-season besides promoting mid laner Chen “Yimeng” Ming-Yong and signing former Oh My God top laner Chen “Breathe” Chen. LGD Gaming, meanwhile, initiated a full roster rebuild, promoting three academy players and signing a couple more from other teams.
LGD now field a mostly rookie team, so it’s fair to say they won’t be threatening the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) title anytime soon. But WE are not especially strong or consistent, which is why we don’t believe they can manage a 3-0 sweep.
W2C vs AFTER GAMING CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
CS:GO Betting Odds: | w2c $2.22 at GG Bet | After $1.60 at GG Bet |

?W2c are a newly re-built Mongolian CS:GO squad without any recognisable names in the team besides their coach, Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat. They recently attended two Hyperion x OEL CS:GO Launch: Asian qualifiers but lost both semi-final bouts against Huat Zai and CHECKMATE.
Unlike w2c, After Gaming field a few known players from the scene, including Zhiwei “0i” Liu, XueBing “B1NGO” Dai and his former teammate at EHOME Tzu-Chi “Marek” Huang, but that does not necessarily spell out quality. Last month they attended the Asian Legend Challenge League and finished in fifth place, so it’s not like they’re a dangerous team.
After Gaming should still be stronger than w2c, but these low-tier Asian CS:GO fixtures are very unpredictable unless we are talking about the top dogs dominating weaker sides. The outsiders are well worth a shot here.
D13 vs ZIGMA CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
CS:GO Betting Odds: | D13 $1.64 at GG Bet | ZIGMA $2.15 at GG Bet |
When: | December 25, 2020 at 17:00 CST |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/aferaTV) |
?The latest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive betting odds suggest that D13 should win this match more times than not, but in our book, their chances to triumph are about 50%. That’s not necessarily because they lack strong individual players, but rather due to their poor form.
D13 enter this match with a 2-8 record since the start of the month, which includes losses against w2c (twice) and New Happy (twice). Their only two wins of the month came against Mazaalai (16-14) and Triumphant Song Gaming (16-10), but that’s hardly worthy of praise since D13 ended up losing both rematches with 8-16 and 3-16 respectively.
ZIGMA, meanwhile, are 8-2 in their last 10 outings and hold the Asian Legend Challenge League title. The only concern we have with ZIGMA is their 0-3 head-to-head record in this matchup since August, but they are now facing a far weaker version of D13 than ever before.
