Vikin.gg and Team Liquid will clash in the opening fixture of DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU Upper Division. This will mark their first meeting since November when Vikin.gg reverse-swept (2-1) Liquid during the EPIC League.
Team Liquid have since looked fairly solid and also enjoyed a decent run in November-December. However, they also had a few iffy showings, which we expect to see a more of in their first games of the year.
Vikin.gg usually do well against Team Liquid (4-1 in 2020), which is why we can’t quite agree with the betting odds. At $2.54, Vikin.gg are overpriced, which presents us with a great value bet.
MUDGOLEMS vs TEAM SECRET BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Event: | Dota 2 – European DPC |
Dota 2 odds: | mudgolems $7.02 at GG Bet | Secret $1.08 at GG Bet |

Assuming The International 10 would have happened, it’s hard to imagine any team other than Team Secret lifting the Aegis of Champions, simply due to their superb form throughout 2020. That, however, was not as apparent towards the end of the season, when Secret started to slump.
What’s more, Team Secret have not played an official match since the second week of December, meaning they’re entering the DreamLeague a bit ring rusty. Mudgolems have played six games during that stretch, which includes three games from last week and while they were not particularly successful, mudgolems are at least not entering this match cold.
At $7.02, esports betting sites suggest mudgolems have only about 14.2% chance of winning which is way too low. They have forced Secret to three maps in their last meeting and there is nothing that would suggest mudgolems can’t do it again.
Vega Squadron will challenge Gambit Esports in a Dota 2 affair which will see the winner take on WinStrike Team at the Dota 2 MegaFon Winter Clash.

Gambit Esports seems to really understand one of the upgraded players in the new patch — Shadow Demon’s re-worked ability, Soul Catcher – Targets a 175/200/225/250 AoE area. Causes all enemy units in the area to lose 25/30/35/40% of their current health, and gain half of it back after 10 seconds. Cooldown: 26/24/22/20 Cast Range: 700. Manacost: 110.
Gambit Esports picked Centaur Warchief along with Shadow Demon in game 2 against The Final Tribe in their quarterfinals match-up two days ago. Centaur Warchief is a hero that is able to deal around 600 damages to an area with his skills. With that, Shadow Demon and Centaur are able to catch two heroes off guard before the team fight started.
In their game 3 against The Final Tribe, they drafted Shadow Demon again and replaced Centaur Warchief with Axe. Axe Berserker’s call after Shadow Demon catching someone, is also a good combo. Axe dominated the laning phase and even got themselves 2 bottom towers at 12-minute mark which letting the squad had a good leading of net worth.
In their matches against No Pangolier, No Pangolier respected their Shadow Demon and banned that hero in first ban phase both game they played. No Pangolier won two games without any pressure because Gambit Esports relied heavily on Shadow Demon.
Vega Squadron was also utilizing buffed heroes such as Puck, Undying and Bane Elemental in their match-up against Natus Vincere, despite their effort of using buffed reworked heroes.
Natus Vincere still took down them with 2-0 due to Vega Squadron’s poor performance. Natus Vincere’s synergy was much better than Vega Squadron in that series.
In the first game, they drafted all heroes that can deal Area of Effect (AOE) skill such as Shadow Fiend, Undying, Razor, as well Grimstroke, the hero just available in captain draft recently.
These combos are insane, Grimstroke made a good early game for them, whenever they start teamfight, their burst damage is too powerful for Team Spirit to withstand, although Viper and Lifestealer able to resist magic skill however 2 supports cannot have the freedom to cast skill wisely because they need to avoid staying in those AOE skill.
After running our eye through their recent draft, we give Vega Squadron a 60% chance to win this match-up.
Our suggestion is to go low and bet on Vega Squadron at better than $2.18 at GG Bet.
NOTE: We highly recommend live bet on Vega Squadron at better than $1.7 if Gambit Esport does not draft Shadow Demon.

EHOME is enjoying a six-win streak since the introduction of the 7.20 patch. They took down IG.V, PSG.LGD and Invictus Gaming in best-of-one series in the group stage of H-CUP Season 10 with outstanding draft.
EHOME also took down DeathBringer Gaming as expected, advancing to to the challenge stage where they took down CDEC Gaming in the playoffs. They are currently one of the top three teams in H-CUP Season 10.
EHOME also enjoyed their 2-0 solid victory against IG.V in their first match-up of the Dota 2 Professional League Season 6 (2018 S2) and secured themselves two points in Group A.
From the draft of these six series of matches, they’re utilizing every buffed hero in this patch, such as Beastmaster’s reworked ability – Howl is permanently invisible and able cover an area of the map, this is definitely a better skill now.
Vici Gaming’s draft style in patch 7.20 has been a bit weird. They rarely draft heroes that buffed in the latest patch, but pick Bloodseeker – the hero considered as nerfed due to his ultimate skill can never kill hero anymore — and Thirsty.
After analysing both team’s draft of late, we give EHOME a 80 per cent chance of getting 2-0 in this match-up.
Our suggestion is to go high and bet on EHOME at better than $2.98 at GG Bet.
