FURIA Esports were a bit up-and-down last season, and without any changes heading into 2025, things likely will not change. Again, we can expect FURIA to rely on Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato to do all the heavy lifting, and while it works out sometimes, consistency is not there.
Nemiga Gaming outperformed expectations in the latter months of 2024 but never established themselves as a threat to Tier-1 teams. Still, this is individually an excellent squad that can take advantage of their opponent’s mistakes.
Nemiga Gaming look weaker on paper, but it is hard to justify betting on FURIA, who rely on one player to carry them over the finish line. Nemiga are an excellent underdog pick.

MOUZ managed to keep all of their players this offseason and are one of the few Tier-1 Counter-Strike 2 teams that managed to stay intact. This is not bad, as MOUZ showed good things in 2024, although they have consistently slipped in the latter stages of big events.
BetBoom Team are a very potent squad on paper and potentially one of the darkhorse team to make a deep run at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025. With Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov and Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov, the sky is the limit for BB Team, but until we see them play, high potential is all the Russian outfit have.
MOUZ should not be losing games like this, but if BetBoom Team prove to be as good as they look, the result of this match will not be as certain. A position on the underdogs to take a map is worth a look.

If Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko can live up to the expectations, G2 Esports will be just as good, if not better, but it will take some time for them to figure things out.
B8 upgraded their roster with the arrival of Artem “kensizor” Kapran; however, he is unproven on LAN, so it is fair to tame our expectations. Expect a better version of B8 this season, but no miracles.
G2 Esports are a bit more vulnerable entering BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, but the raw quality of the roster alone is a good enough reason to have faith in them.

Complexity were one of the biggest losers of the offseason, having lost Ricky “floppy” Kemery and Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski. The new arrivals Danny “cxzi” Strzelczyk and Nicholas “nicx” Lee are serviceable but a massive firepower downgrade.
This new lineup will be a proper test for Ioannis ‘Johnny’ “JT” Theodosiou and his in-game leading ability. But even if JT proves himself as an excellent IGL, Complexity will struggle in other areas.
Virtus.pro are quite the opposite, boasting an incredible amount of firepower but a questionable IGL in Denis “electroNic” Sharipov. The arrival of Timur “FL4MUS” Maryev and Kaisar “ICY” Faiznurov will allow VP to turn a new leaf in 2025, but their ceiling is questionable.
Virtus.pro are the better team here, but at the offered betting odds, you can make a case for Complexity and their chances to take a map off the rusty VP.

Eternal Fire had an excellent 2024 season. While they crashed out of Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR B in 12th-14th place, they managed two strong results in September, winning silver medals at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2 and ESL Pro League Season 20.
For the 2025 season, the Turkish squad decided to make just one change, adding Samet “jottAAA” K?klü from Sangal Esports at the start of the month. The 22-year-old, while unproven at the top level, is a substantial upgrade to Bu?ra “Calyx” Ark?n.
While Eternal Fire are a bit inconsistent, they should not struggle against Fluxo, who don’t have much to show for besides a few CCT tournament titles in 2024. The Brazilians should be no match for Eternal Fire, and the offered esports odds on the top Counter-Strike betting sites reflect it.

The addition of Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski as a replacement for Robin “ropz” Kool might not seem like a massive upgrade. But with the 27-year-old’s arrival, the dynamic will change for the better, relieving Finn “karrigan” Andersen from some of his IGLing duties.
FaZe Clan boast just as much quality as they did in 2024. But they should be far more consistent, which is what they lacked last season.
M80 will attend BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 without Ethan “reck” Serrano, who is out with a leg injury and was replaced by Nils “k1to” Gruhne, who is more of a downgrade than anything else. K1to has been out of action since his benching from OG in August, and even with his former team, he has been hardly serviceable.
M80 should not do well in this tournament, let alone against one of the strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams in the scene.

Astralis shockingly did not make any roster changes this offseason, despite failing at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR B. However, Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz is set to return after a short break, which is not something to brush off.
The last time the Danish AWPer played, Astralis made the semifinals of BLAST Premier World Final 2024, and even before dev1ce’s break, they had started showing some signs of stability. All that is promising, but Astralis will remain a team with a high ceiling and low floor.
Wildcard are one of the tournament outsiders, priced at $151.00 in outright betting markets with the best Counter-Strike betting sites. They had a solid showing at the Shanghai Major, which should inspire some confidence that Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz and co. can bite. Still, the quality is not there.

SAW are not among the leading candidates to win BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, but this is a potent team with scary firepower. Especially André “Ag1l” Gil and José “shr” Gil can be hard to stop when they get rolling, which could help SAW pick up an upset or two.
BIG added Can “kyuubii” Ali and Marcel “hyped” K?hn last week to freshen up their roster, which does not inspire much confidence. Neither player proved themselves at the highest tier of competition, and kyuubii has not played an official match since September.
It is very difficult to feel optimistic about BIG and their current roster iteration. Hyped and kyuubii are clear downgrades from Florian “syrsoN” Rische and Rigon “rigoN” Gashi.

Fielding another elite roster consisting of the ex-HEROIC core and Nikola “NiKo” Kova?, Team Falcons will be aiming at nothing less than the BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 trophy. However, realistically, this is just a slightly improved version of 2024 HEROIC, who were competitive but hardly more than a top-10 rated team.
With very little time to prepare, Falcons can also quickly implode, so it is not entirely unlikely they slip against weaker opponents.
ENCE will look to take advantage of the Falcons’ questionable stability despite having very little experience facing elite teams. On the other side, they appeared in a few LAN events in 2024 and performed well against decent opponents.
At the offered odds, a smaller position on ENCE to take a map is worth a look. Team Falcons are stronger, but they’re also unproven.

Team Vitality were already a force to be reckoned with in 2024, and with the addition of Robin “ropz” Kool, they have become even scarier. The team atmosphere and overall stability should not struggle even though ropz has not spent much time with his team, and if things fall into place, Vitality can easily emerge as serious Major title contenders.
Metizport will have a mountain to climb on Wednesday as they face one of the tournament favourites. It does not help that the Swedish squad field an entirely new roster without any star players.
Expect a very one-sided match.

Three of the five top League of Legends regional leagues will kick off this week following the start of the LPL Split 1 last week. The LCK Cup, LEC Winter and LCP Kickoff will begin on January 15, 17 and 18, respectively.
The VALORANT Champions Tour China Kickoff started on January 11, and now the other three major VCT regional leagues will begin their Kickoff tournaments during the week.
Meanwhile, the inaugural edition of the BLAST Bounty Spring will kick off on Tuesday, January 14, with the closed qualifiers taking place from January 14-19.

Split 1 of the LPL began last week and will continue this week, joined by the LCK, LEC, and LCP.
The inaugural edition of the LCK Cup will begin on Wednesday, January 15 and run through February 23, while the Season Kickoff for the new LCP league will start on January 17 and conclude on February 23 also.
The LEC Winter split will kick off on January 18 and run through March 2.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2025: Pacific, Americas, China & EMEA Kickoff
Although the VCT China Kickoff event started last week, the Americas, Pacific and EMEA tournaments will begin this week.
The VCT EMEA Kickoff will be the first to start on January 15, followed by the Americas on January 16 before the VCT Pacific Kickoff tournament starts on January 18.
All of the participating squads will be competing for the two regional spots at VCT Masters Bangkok, which will be the first international VCT event of 2025.

CS2 BLAST Bounty Spring Closed Qualifiers
The opening Counter-Strike 2 tournament will take place from January 14-19, with the closed qualifiers of the BLAST Bounty Spring set to be played in Europe (Online).
From the closed qualifiers, the top eight CS2 squads will advance to the BLAST Bounty Spring LAN Finals in Copenhagen, Denmark, from January 22-25.
