By receiving the invite, the Danish esports team will attend their first Elisa Masters tournament since the Elisa Invitational Fall 2020, when they reached the semifinals.
After nearly four years, HEROIC returns to the Elisa-run event with four new faces and Ren “TeSeS” Madsen as the only carryover from the 2020 roster.
Ranked no.17 on the global Counter-Strike standings, HEROIC are the second-highest ranked team attending the event, behind The MongolZ (#13) and ahead of the other three invitees: 9z Team (#21), Ninjas in Pyjamas (#27), and ENCE (#47).
The lineup is complete!
extremely professional esports org @heroicgg, ranked #17 and led by Finnish coach @sAwCSGO, is ready to bring the heat at #ElisaMasters Espoo 2024!
Can they rise to the top and claim the trophy?

Besides the four invited squads, Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 will welcome three teams who had to qualify for the tournament.
The list includes Elisa Invitational Spring 2024 champions B8, Fall champions Rebels Esports, and JANO Esports, who won a local Finnish event, eSM 2024, at the start of August.
Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 is a LAN Counter-Strike esports tournament which will take place at Espoo Metro Arena in Espoo, Finland.
It will feature eight teams and a $200,000 prize pool divided among all participating squads.
The tournament will kick off with two double-elimination groups of four teams each.
All opening matches are best-of-one, while the remaining will be best-of-three.
The top two teams from each group will advance to single-elimination playoffs, with best-of-three semifinals and best-of-five grand final.
While Counter-Strike betting sites have yet to release Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 outright markets, all the eyes will be on The MongolZ as the leading candidates to hoist the trophy.
The Mongolian side have recently finished their ESL Pro League Season 20 campaign with a commendable 4-2 record and just two defeats against Team Spirit and Eternal Fire.
Earlier this season, they also made some noise at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024 (ninth-12), the Esports World Cup 2024 (ninth), and Skyesports Championship 2024, where Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren and co. placed second.
HEROIC and 9z Team, while less successful in their recent competitive endeavours, should pose a threat to the Asian squad, aiming to win their first and second A-Tier trophy, respectively.
For other reasons, Ninjas in Pyjamas will also find themselves under the spotlight as Gareth “MisteM” Ries makes his official LAN debut.
Like NiP, B8 will showcase their latest two signings, Daniil “headtr1ck” Valitov and Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi, in an offline setting for the first time since their arrival in April and July.
Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 kicks off on Wednesday, October 16, succeeding IEM Rio 2024, scheduled for October 7-13.
Esports betting sites expected to see some lopsided games, and that was exactly what we witnessed, as the likes of Bilibili Gaming (BLG), Hanwha Life Esports (HLE), and G2 Esports claimed impressive victories in their respective fixtures.
BLG kicked off the first round of the Swiss Stage in a clash with MAD Lions KOI, and even though MAD shot out to an early lead, the top seed from the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) regained the ascendancy and ran away with the win in under 27 minutes.
Many expected Top Esports (TES) vs T1 to be the pick of the bunch on day one, as the reigning world champions took on a resurgent Chinese squad who secured the second seed from the LPL.
The clash was close throughout the 30 minutes, but it was TES who secured a vital win that dropped T1 into the loser’s bracket.
Gen.G entered their round one series against Weibo Gaming (WBG) as overwhelming favourites with GG Bet; however, their win was less than convincing, as it took the pre-tournament favourites 45 minutes to defeat the LPL team.
Dplus KIA and Fnatic clashed in the fourth series of the day, where the LCK’s third seed controlled the game and held a gold lead throughout before claiming the win in just over 35 minutes.
Thanks to a masterclass from LNG bot-laner Chen “GALA” Wei, the third seed from the LPL took down the top seed from the LCS, Team Liquid.
GALA’s stat-line read 9/1/9, which has him situated in equal second in the KDA list for the Swiss Stage, and with that 18.0 KDA, he propelled LNG to a dominant win inside 35 minutes.
The final three fixtures of day one featured Hanwha Life Esports vs PSG Talon, FlyQuest vs GAM Esports, and G2 Esports vs paiN Gaming, with HLE, FlyQuest and G2 winning their respective matches with relative ease to book their spot in the 1-0 bracket.

— LoL Esports (@lolesports) October 3, 2024
The first match of day two will be an all-LPL fixture with Bilibili Gaming taking on LNG Esports before Gen.G clashes with Top Esports in the following series.
Below is a list of Swiss Stage round two series, set to be played on Friday, October 4.
The 21-year-old joined Tundra in January as a part of a major roster rebuild which began with the departure of Enzo “Timado” Gianoli, Jonathan Bryle “Bryle” De Guia, Ilyas “kasane” Gainullin, and also coach Aleksandr “Immersion” Khmelevskoi, who rejoined the team less than a month later.
9Class was the first new face and kept his spot on the roster amid numerous player swaps that followed throughout the season.
While the Russian Dota 2 pro did not find much success with Tundra initially, he helped them place third at ESL One Birmingham 2024 in April and fourth at Riyadh Masters 2024 in July.
Yet despite his contributions, 9Class could not help Tundra Esports at The International 2024 due to visa issues.
Tundra have not specified the reason for 9Class’ departure, nor which team he has signed with.
Today we say farewell & thank you to 9Class as he is transferred to his new team
There are many young, talented and motivated players in the scene and 9Class is one of the players that impressed us with his unique playstyle and vision on how to play the game
All the best! pic.twitter.com/ATvI58J14s
— TUNDRA (@TundraEsports) October 3, 2024
As a replacement, Tundra have signed Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko, who has spent the last month as an inactive member of BetBoom Team.
Nightfall previously played for Virtus.pro and Evil Geniuses, yet his most notable accomplishments have come while playing for BetBoom.
With the Russian squad, he placed second at DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024, and in July they reached the lower-bracket quarterfinals of the Esports World Cup 2024 tournament.
PGL Wallachia Season 2 is about to start soon!
We will play this tournament with two stand-ins.
Our roster:
1 – Shad
2 – MidOne
3 – 33
4 – Saksa
5 – WhitemonThank you, Midone and Shad for joining us for this tournament! pic.twitter.com/W8ycqKoTWv
— TUNDRA (@TundraEsports) September 30, 2024
However, Nightfall will not accompany Tundra at PGL Wallachia Season 2, nor will Artem “lorenof” Melnick.
The two have been replaced by Indji “Shad” Lub and Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng as stand-ins.
Despite that, Tundra Esports enter the upcoming tournament as the second-favourites on the outright betting markets.
The best Dota 2 betting sites have them priced at $5.50, ahead of Natus Vincere at $11.00 and behind Team Falcons, who are the clear favourites at even odds.
PGL Wallachia Season 2 kicks off on Friday, October 4, with the group stage running until Wednesday, October 9.
The tournament will culminate with a best-of-five grand final on Sunday, October 13.
E1 SPORTS vs FURIA ESPORTS R6S BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | E1 $2.30 at GG Bet | FURIA $1.55 at GG Bet |
When: | October 4, 2024 | 13:00 BRT |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/rainbow6br) |
E1 Sports finished the group stage in third place with a 5-1-1-2 record, albeit with just one victory from their final four matches. Even more concerning is that two of E1’s losses came against MiBR and FURIA Esports, who bested Henrique “Flastry” Pennacchia and co. 7-1 at the end of September.
FURIA secured 15 points in the group stage after finding some momentum in the final weeks. FURIA enter this match on a three-game winning streak, having beaten Black Dragons, E1 Sports, and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
E1 Sports lost to FURIA less than a week ago, so it is unsurprising to see them priced as underdogs with the best R6S betting sites. However, E1 showed a lot more throughout the entire second stage, and with added preparation time, they should be in a fine spot to get revenge.
FAZE CLAN vs NINJAS IN PYJAMAS R6S BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | FaZe $1.46 at GG Bet | NiP $2.52 at GG Bet |
When: | October 4, 2024 | 16:30 BRT |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/rainbow6br) |
FaZe Clan ended the R6S Brazil League 2024 Stage 2 group stage with a massive 7-1 victory against Team Liquid, which is a good indication of what these guys are capable of. The Six Invitational 2024 grand finalists have performed well in Stage 2, although they’ve played a few too many close series against weaker sides.
FaZe Clan tend to play to the level of their opponents, which explains many of their series this stage. But this does not take away from their high ceiling, as seen in their games against w7m esports and Liquid.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have held on well this stage — mainly thanks to Diogo “fntzy” Lima, who holds the seventh-highest rating in the league. But as seen in the last clash between the two lineups, FaZe can effectively shut down the 21-year old.
BIG vs ODDIK CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | BIG $1.29 at GG Bet | ODDIK $3.49 at GG Bet |
When: | October 4, 2024 | 10:30 EDT |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCS) |
ODDIK showed some signs of life in August, but their results over the last month leave much to be desired. They have managed just four wins over a 10-game stretch against regional opponents, which makes it difficult to believe ODDIK have what it takes to deliver in an international event.
BIG have been very up-and-down, with a few solid games at ESL Pro League Season 20 but just as many crushing losses against weaker opponents. That includes three defeats from their last four, losing to MongolZ, Monte, and ECSTATIC.
BIG look like the better team on paper, but they are inconsistent and have a win rate of better than 50% on just two maps: Nuke and Ancient. At $3.49, ODDIK are a solid pick for this best-of-one game.
FLYQUEST vs BETBOOM TEAM CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | FLY $2.47 at GG Bet | BB $1.52 at GG Bet |
When: | October 4, 2024 | 11:55 EDT |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCS) |
FlyQuest will be looking to bounce back after three consecutive early exits from S-Tier tournaments, including a 21st-28th finish in ESL Pro League Season 20. However, that will not come easy for the Australian Counter-Strike team in this matchup.
BetBoom Team won their second CCT Season 2 European title last week, cruising through the Series #12 playoffs despite playing with Ivan “SELLTER” Miroshnikov for the final two series. The Russians are now 7-3 from their last 10 and travel to Atlanta on a four-game winning streak.
Counter-Strike betting sites have BetBoom Team priced as $1.52 favourites, which is more than fair considering their form.
SAW vs ROOSTER CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | SAW $1.15 at GG Bet | Rooster $5.18 at GG Bet |
When: | October 4, 2024 | 13:20 EDT |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCS) |
SAW are outright favourites to win ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2024. The Portuguese squad are 12-2 from their last 14 outings and look poised to run over Rooster on Friday.
Oceania’s No.2 side travel to the United States without Sharvesh “dangeR” Saravanan, who left the team last month. In his place, Rooster will field Joshua “jhd” Hough-Devine from the academy lineup. He has played two games for the main team, averaging below 1.00 in the match ratings.
Rooster would struggle to defeat SAW regardless of their roster situation. However, with the last-minute change, their chances of winning have plunged.
WILDCARD vs M80 CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | Wildcard $2.66 at GG Bet | M80 $1.45 at GG Bet |
When: | October 4, 2024 | 14:45 EDT |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCS) |
Wildcard and M80 last met during CCT Season 2 North American Series #2 in August, when Wildcard won 2-1. They have since played reasonably well and even showed some pulse in their short ESL Pro League Season 20 campaign.
M80 did exceptionally well in the same tournament, where they reached the quarterfinals. Since then, M80 have been cruising through ESL Challenger League Season 48 North America regular season.
M80 placed much better in Malta, but they only had to defeat Complexity, Fnatic, and Imperial. Since this is a clash between regional rivals, it is difficult to pass on the outsiders at this price.
BILIBILI GAMING vs MAD LIONS KOI LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | BLG $1.08 at GG Bet | MAD $7.10 at GG Bet |
When: | October 3, 2024 | 14:00 CET |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
MAD Lions barely made it to the LoL World Championship 2024 and were not very convincing through the play-ins either. Considering everything they have shown, Europe’s third seed should struggle against one of the tournament favourites.
Bilibili Gaming are among the leading candidates to lift the Summoner’s Cup. And while the LoL Worlds patch will introduce some uncertainty, especially early into the main stage, you must have an excellent reason to go against one of the hottest LoL esports teams.
BLG should win without any issues, but their handicap lines are a little too severe. Knowing both sides are fairly bloody, taking over 27.5 total kills is an appealing option.
TOP ESPORTS vs T1 LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | TES $2.06 at GG Bet | T1 $1.73 at GG Bet |
When: | October 3, 2024 | 15:00 CET |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
T1 placed fourth in the LoL Champions Korea (LCK) 2024 Summer regular season, third in the playoffs, and barely made it past KT Roster in the LCK 2024 Regional Finals. Top Esports were not convincing in the last split either, with bronze medals from Group Ascend and the LPL 2024 Summer Playoffs.
On form, it is easy to understand why neither team is among the tournament favourites. However, it is much easier to trust TES, who have looked incredible against any team who failed to stop them early.
Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and co. can wake up at any moment to defend their throne, but T1’s early game has not been the best, which could be a problem.
GEN.G vs WEIBO GAMING LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | Gen.G $1.19 at GG Bet | WBG $4.45 at GG Bet |
When: | October 3, 2024 | 16:00 CET |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
Gen.G have played incredibly well throughout the 2024 season and enter Worlds as one of the title favourites. Weibo Gaming, like usual, are very potent but inconsistent underdogs who can beat anyone on their day.
Gen.G are the better, more stable, and more reliable team, yet this does not justify their tag as $1.19 favourites. The long break and volatility of a new patch could shake things up a bit, so in a series between two elite squads, it is hard to pass on the outsiders to at least keep it close.
A smaller play on Weibo Gaming to win is worth a look as well.
FNATIC vs DPLUS KIA LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | Fnatic $3.36 at GG Bet | Dplus $1.30 at GG Bet |
When: | October 3, 2024 | 17:00 CET |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
Fnatic and Dplus KIA are not expected to compete for the Summoner’s Cup, but they can play at a very high level. This is more obvious with Dplus KIA, who have produced excellent games domestically; the problem is they have not done this consistently.
Fnatic collapsed at the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup 2024 mainly due to the lack of experience of their bottom lane, namely ADC Oh “Noah” Hyeon-taek. This could again be a problem at LoL World Championship 2024, but after two international events, some improvement is expected.
Dplus KIA have a higher ceiling, but they are not consistent in reaching it. Fnatic, at $3.36 with the best LoL betting sites, are worth a look.
TEAM LIQUID vs LNG ESPORTS LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | TL $3.54 at GG Bet | LNG $1.28 at GG Bet |
When: | October 3, 2024 | 18:00 CET |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
Even as $3.54 underdogs, Team Liquid might still be overrated. While the LoL Championship Series (LCS) second seed performed reasonably well at the Esports World Cup 2024, the gap between the LCS and LPL is significant enough to fade them.
LNG Esports might not be one of the main candidates to win the tournament, but they are very efficient in trashing weaker teams — as seen in their run through the LPL 2024 Summer. Expect a one-sided series.
HANWHA LIFE ESPORTS vs PSG TALON LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | HLE $1.06 at GG Bet | PSG $8.14 at GG Bet |
When: | October 3, 2024 | 19:00 CET |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
Hanwha Life Esports exceeded expectations in the LCK 2024 Summer, yet most of that is thanks to Dplus KIA’s and T1’s struggles. Their LCK trophy aside, HLE are still the same counter-punching team, which will be a problem at LoL Worlds 2024.
PSG Talon had a rough run through the play-in stage; however, that does not take away from how stacked and experienced this lineup is. The added games in the play-ins also allowed PSG to warm up ahead of their first proper test of the tournament.
Even though Hanwha Life Esports are LCK’s top seed, $1.06 is an absurd price for a squad with a flawed playstyle.
FLYQUEST vs GAM ESPORTS LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | FLY $1.38 at GG Bet | GAM $2.94 at GG Bet |
When: | October 3, 2024 | 20:00 CET |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
Matches pitting minor and major regions against one another tend to be priced heavily in favour of the latter. However, it is hard to justify saying the LCS is much stronger than the Vietnam Championship Series (VCS).
GAM Esports have not been adequately tested in their league, so it is hard to say how high they can fly. But the same can be said for FlyQuest, who only had to deal with one formidable opponent domestically.
The North American squad should be priced as favourites, but not at this number. The value is with the underdogs.
G2 ESPORTS vs PAIN GAMING LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | G2 $1.15 at GG Bet | paiN $5.08 at GG Bet |
When: | October 3, 2024 | 21:00 CET |
Watch Live: | Lolesports, Twitch |
G2 Esports were anything but great in the final split of the season; however, they shifted into a higher gear when it mattered and won both the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC) 2024 Summer Playoffs and the Season Finals.
PaiN Gaming looked very good in the first stage of the tournament, but they only had to defeat Vikings Esports and Movistar R7. Suffice it to say the Brazilians have not been properly tested yet.
G2 Esports are known to play with their food, but rarely on the international stage. They’re the superior team by all metrics, and it should show on Thursday.
Following the completion of the play-in stage at the League of Legends World Championship, the Swiss Stage will begin on October 3, where the 16 teams will compete across two weeks of play in Berlin, Germany.
PGL Wallachia Season 2 will kick off on October 4, with 16 of the world’s best Dota 2 teams competing in the US$1 million event in Bucharest, Romania.
On the same day, the 2024 Halo World Championship will also start in Seattle, USA, where the top 16 teams from the Halo Championship Series will compete in the season-ending tournament.
MAD Lions KOI, PSG Talon, GAM Esports and paiN Gaming will join the 12 Swiss stage teams in the LoL World Championship main event as it gets underway on Thursday.
Esports betting sites cannot split Gen.G and Bilibili Gaming in the “outright win” market, with both squads being rated as $3.75 equal favourites to claim the Summoner’s Cup.
Below you will find every round one fixture along with odds courtesy of GG Bet.

The Halo World Championship will run from October 4 through October 6, with 16 of the best Halo rosters earning their spot in the season finale in Seattle, Washington.
Following their back-to-back Major wins in Atlanta and Salt Lake City, esports betting sites have Spacestation Gaming marked as the clear $1.90 favourite in the “outright win” market.

PGL Wallachia Season 2 will take place in Romania from October 4-13, where 16 of the top Dota 2 teams compete in the US$1,000,000 event.
Esports betting sites have marked Team Falcons as the $2.30 favourite to lift the PGL Wallachia trophy, but they are closely followed by Team Liquid ($4.50), Team Spirit ($7.00), and Xtreme Gaming ($7.00).

The addition of Hampus “hampus” Poser two weeks ago gave Johnny Speeds some momentum as they won six straight series. But over the next five, the Swedes have managed just one more victory, with losses against 9INE, Nemiga Gaming, Lazer Cats, and Into the Breach.
Permitta Esports have also been inconsistent in recent outings, with a 50% win rate from their last six. The departure of Patryk “Sidney” Korab on Saturday will not do any wonders for the Polish lineup’s reliability either, even though they have already found a replacement in ex-ENTERPRISE AWPer Sebastian “fr3nd” Ku?mierz.
Unsurprisingly, the best Counter-Strike betting sites have Johnny Speeds priced as favourites, but it is tough to justify taking their side at the offered number. Permitta Esports are not in the best shape, yet neither are hampus and company, so we can expect a closer affair.
ALTERNATE ATTAX vs 9INE CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

ALTERNATE aTTaX have not won a tournament since CCT Season 2 European Series #9, and they recently exited CCT Season 2 European Series #12 in 20th-22nd place. However, despite the uninspiring tournament placements, the German squad are 8-2 from their last 10 series, indicating some improvement.
9INE won FASTCUP: CSGORUN Cup Season 1 last Tuesday, yet that is their only deep tournament run since the runner-up finish at European Pro League Season 17 in July. Still, 9INE showed a pulse.
9INE are priced as favourites for this match, which does not make much sense considering how much more consistent ALTERNATE aTTaX have been lately. A better map win rate on four maps (Nuke, Vertigo, Ancient, and Anubis) should not be ignored, but its not a good enough reason to take 9INE’s side.
Four teams have been eliminated, and 16 remain on the road to glory.
Even in the play-in stage, one major region has already fallen short of expectations.
100 Thieves, from North America, suffered a disappointing defeat to PSG Talon in the lower bracket final, marking an early exit from LoL Worlds 2024.
With the Swiss Stage now set, exciting first-round matchups are on the horizon.

T1 will start their title defence against Top Esports, while European fans have reason for cautious optimism: G2 Esports faces paiN Gaming, and Fnatic goes head-to-head with Dplus KIA.
On the other hand, MAD Lions fans may feel a pang of anxiety as their team has drawn LPL Summer champions, Bilibili Gaming, in the first round.
In an interview, Supa from MAD Lions expressed a desire to face a North American team for revenge, but it seems that match will have to wait.
GAM Esports, fresh off a strong play-in stage performance, will now face FlyQuest, while PSG Talon must take on the LCK Summer winners, Hanwha Life Esports.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid is set to face LNG Esports, and Weibo Gaming is lined up against Gen.G, the dominant second seed from the LCK.
This years World Championship will take place across Berlin, Paris, and London, with the Swiss Stage held in two parts: October 3-7 and October 10-13.
The opening day will feature best-of-one round one matchups, followed by 1-0 and 0-1 matchups on October 4.
From then on, the decisive best-of-three matches will determine who moves on to the knockout stage and who goes home.
The play-in stage has already concluded, with eight teams competing for four qualification spots.
These four teams will now join the twelve already qualified teams in the Swiss Stage, where many consider the real Worlds to begin.
The 16 teams are divided into four pools, with Pool 1 teams facing Pool 4, and Pool 2 taking on Pool 3.
Importantly, no teams will face opponents from their own region in the first round.
After that, matchups will pair teams with the same record regardless of region, and rematches will be prohibited.
To qualify for the knockout stage, a team must win three matches, while three losses mean elimination from Worlds 2024.
The Swiss Stage format will feature best-of-one matches until the qualification and elimination series, which will be best of three.
Fans can catch all the Swiss Stage action on the official LoL Esports channels on Twitch and YouTube.
The final eight teams that survive this gruelling stage will advance to the knockout stage, bringing them one step closer to the Summoners Cup.
This victory broke G2s longstanding 0-9 losing streak against NaVi, a team led by Aleksi “?Aleksib?” Virolainen, and earned G2 their second trophy of the year.
G2’s lineup, featuring Janusz “?Snax?” Pogorzelski and Mario “?malbsMd?” Samayoa, finally came together to lift their first trophy with these players.
It marked an important moment for Snax, who hadnt won a major LAN event since ESL One New York in 2018, and for malbsMd, who became the first Guatemalan player ever to win a Counter-Strike trophy.
@G2CSGO ARE YOUR FALL FINAL CHAMPIONS! #BLASTPremier pic.twitter.com/cfkFk41Rjz
— BLAST Premier (@BLASTPremier) September 29, 2024
G2s victory comes after a successful year, which also saw them win IEM Dallas with Jake “?Stewie2K?” Yip standing in during an inspiring Cinderella run.
NaVi had held a dominant 9-0 record over G2 since going international in July 2023, including a group-stage victory over G2 in the Fall Final.
However, as G2s Nemanja “?huNter-?” Kova? famously said after lifting the trophy, Nobody beats G2 10 times in a row.
The grand final saw G2 perform at their peak, with standout performances across the board.
Ilya “?m0NESY?” Osipov was instrumental, delivering a 1.42 series rating and clutching six rounds across the first three maps.
In stark contrast, NaVis Ihor “?w0nderful?” Zhdanov struggled, ending with a 0.87 rating, a performance that hindered NaVi’s efforts.
The first map, Ancient, saw G2 take an early lead, with malbsMd delivering a crucial double knife kill and NiKo leading a strong offensive push to close the map 13-9.
NaVi bounced back on Dust2, but G2s resilience, particularly through m0NESY and malbsMds multi-kill performances, helped them secure another 13-11 victory.
Mirage was a turning point for NaVi, who capitalised on G2s mistakes to win 13-11.
However, G2 regrouped and dominated Inferno.
malbsMd, m0NESY, and huNter- led the charge, crushing NaVis defence and closing out the map 13-7, sealing their victory in the series.
m0NESYs brilliant showing throughout the tournament earned him his second MVP award of 2024, making a strong case for Player of the Year.
He ended the event with a +75 kill differential and a 1.39 rating in G2’s map wins.

Snax, whose form and leadership had been questioned, proved his doubters wrong by guiding G2 to a significant victory, while malbsMd’s performance highlighted him as one of the brightest new talents in the CS2 scene.
With this win, G2 now heads into the final stages of the year with momentum, raising expectations as they aim for the coveted Shanghai Major.
Their triumph in the BLAST Premier Fall Final marks them as serious contenders, with m0NESY and NiKo showcasing why they are one of the best duos in the game.
As NaVi reflects on a hard-fought run, fatigue from their deep tournament performances may be catching up to them.
Theyll need time to regroup before the upcoming IEM Rio 2024 and BLAST Premier World Final.
But for now, G2 celebrates a much-deserved victory that has been months in the making.
