While Miami Heretics placed third in CDL 2025 Stage 1 Major, they have not looked great this season. They have struggled online and did not perform well in the first week of the second stage, with a 1-3 loss to Minnesota R?KKR.
Based on how José “ReeaL” Fernández and co. have been playing, it’s fair to feel slightly pessimistic about their chances of defeating Atlanta FaZe. While their 1-1 start to the stage is not too inspiring, FaZe are still one of the top teams and come into this off a dominant showing in CDL Major 1.
FaZe to sweep Miami Heretics looks like an obvious pick.

CAROLINA ROYAL RAVENS vs OPTIC TEXAS CDL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Carolina Royal Ravens placed second at CDL Minor 1, ended the Major 1 qualifiers with a 5-2 record and finished the Major in fourth place. While all that sounds promising, the Royal Ravens are not playing well.
With a 29.2% win rate, they are one of the worst Hardpoint teams in the league. They do well on Search & Destroy (61.1%) and Control (45.5%), but if you can’t win Hardpoint, it is hard to consistently win games.
OpTic Texas went 0-2 in the first week of CDL 2025 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers with losses against Atlanta FaZe and Minnesota R?KKR, which is concerning, although they’ve recently made a roster change, adding Amer “Pred” Zulbeari to the lineup.
OpTic Texas seem like they need more time to make their new roster work, but despite their struggles last week, it is hard to make a good case for Carolina Royal Ravens, who are trending in the wrong direction.
OpTic Texas to win
LOS ANGELES GUERRILLAS M8 vs VANCOUVER SURGE CDL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | LAGM $2.20 at Betway | Surge $1.62 at GG Bet |
When: | February 22, 2025 | 15:00 PST |

Vancouver Surge’s decision to add Travis “Neptune” McCloud ahead of CDL 2025 Stage 2 seemed to be the right call as they went 2-0 in the first week with huge wins against Atlanta FaZe and Cloud9 New York. While the latter was a close 3-2 victory, the Surge are now playing much better as everyone in the team is stepping up and delivering.
Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 got last at Major 1 and waited one more week to make a roster change, adding Noah “Lunarz” Whillock in place of Preston “Priestahh” Greiner. This change might not help the Guerrillas massively, although they should be better on Search & Destroy.
Vancouver Surge are priced as $1.62 favourites with the best CoD betting sites, which is a fair offer. Even though Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 should improve, the Surge have already proven that their new roster works.
Vancouver Surge to win
TORONTO ULTRA vs BOSTON BREACH CDL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | Ultra $1.73 at William Hill | Breach $2.00 at GG Bet |

Boston Breach started CDL 2025 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers with two wins against Vegas Falcons and Los Angeles Guerrillas M8, beating the latter on map five. While a good start to the stage, Boston Breach have a lot more to prove.
The Breach have been all over the place with their results this season. Consistency has not been their strong suit, yet Joseph “Owakening” Conley and co. have proved they can perform on a good day.
Toronto Ultra had a weird start to the second stage, with a 0-3 loss to Cloud9 New York and a confident 3-1 victory against Carolina Royal Ravens. Ultra should be playing better than what they have shown recently.
Both teams are a bit of an enigma, posting inconsistent results and while Ultra should be favoured, Control is the only game mode they do better on. Expect a close game.
