League of Legend’s First Stand Tournament begins on Monday, March 10, with the first pair of group stage fixtures as Team Liquid take on Karmine Corp, followed by a clash between tournament favourites Top Esports and Hanwha Life Esports. Here are our LoL betting picks for day one of the group stage with esports odds courtesy of top betting sites in South Korea.

TEAM LIQUID vs KARMINE CORP LOL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Liquid $2.37 at GG Bet | KC $1.53 at William Hill
When: March 10, 2025 | 17:00 KST
Watch Live: Twitch, Lolesports

Karmine Corp surprised many by winning the LoL EMEA (LEC) 2025 Winter title, securing their first entry to an international event. They were not dominant on their path to the trophy but found ways to win, mainly through strong mid-late games and partially thanks to Fnatic’s and G2 Esports’ struggles.

The lack of international experience is a factor to consider for this match, as Team Liquid, unlike KC, attended the Mid-Season Invitational, Esports World Cup 2024, and LoL World Championship in 2024. The LEC champions’ have just three players who previously attended big events.

Despite that, the top LoL betting sites have Karmine Corp priced as favourites, giving them a 63.7% implied probability of winning the game. This is a very generous number, as Team Liquid are more experienced internationally and have also had a great run through the first split of the League of Legends Championship of The Americas (LTA).

The big question is whether Karmine Corp can deal with the pressure, as the two squads look fairly evenly matched quality-wise. No result would be surprising, so we’re taking Team Liquid at plus money.

HANWHA LIFE ESPORTS vs TOP ESPORTS LOL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: HLE $1.57 at Betway | TES $2.25 at BetOnline
When: March 10, 2025 | 20:00 KST
Watch Live: Twitch, Lolesports

Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) and Top Esports (TES), two of the favourites to win First Stand 2025, will face off on the opening day of the tournament, giving us a first glance at potential finals preview.

HLE exceeded expectations by winning the LoL Champions Korea (LCK) Cup 2025, but it is important to note that other title contenders, namely T1 and Gen.G, underperformed. TES accomplished the same feat domestically, but they arguably had a much tougher schedule, having to beat Ninjas in Pyjamas, Bilibili Gaming, JD Gaming, and Anyone’s Legend.

Statistically, the two teams hold similar figures. TES have a better kill/death ratio (2.4) than HLE (1.9) and a better dragon control (58% vs 52%) but worse Baron control (53% vs 66%). The gold difference per minute is also close, with TES holding a slight lead (119) over HLE (91).

It is hard to pick a winner, and while Hanwha Life Esports performed well domestically, they do not deserve to be priced as $1.57 favourites over Top Esports. Anything above even money on TES is worth a look.
